Namun, ia mengaku baru mengetahui bahwa penyidikan perkara tersebut telah dihentikan setelah menerima pemberitahuan mengenai penerbitan SP3.<br><br>Melalui kuasa hukumnya, Leonardo menilai terdapat sejumlah hal yang perlu menjadi perhatian dalam proses penyidikan. Salah satunya berkaitan dengan pemeriksaan saksi yang menurut pihak pelapor belum dilakukan secara menyeluruh.<br><br>Berdasarkan Surat Pemberitahuan Perkembangan Hasil Penyidikan (SP2HP) yang diterima pelapor, penyidik disebut telah menjadwalkan pemeriksaan terhadap tiga orang saksi, yakni Jusmin Munui, Sadam Sudin, dan Ais. Menurut keterangan pelapor, ketiga saksi tersebut telah mendatangi Mapolsek Obi untuk memenuhi undangan pemeriksaan.<br><br>Namun, pelapor menyatakan para saksi tersebut tidak sempat diperiksa karena penyidik yang menangani perkara tidak berada di kantor saat mereka datang. Setelah itu, menurut pihak pelapor, penyidikan justru dihentikan dengan alasan belum ditemukan bukti yang cukup.<br><br>Selain itu, pelapor juga mempertanyakan isi SP2HP yang mencantumkan nama seorang saksi berinisial Agil sebagai telah dimintai keterangan. Menurut pihak pelapor, Agil menyatakan tidak pernah menerima surat panggilan maupun menjalani pemeriksaan dalam perkara tersebut.<br><br>Atas dasar itu, pihak Leonardo Khan meminta Kapolda Maluku Utara dan Kapolres Halmahera Selatan untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap proses penanganan perkara, termasuk memeriksa prosedur penyidikan yang telah dilakukan.<br><br>&#8220;Kami meminta agar penanganan perkara ini dievaluasi secara menyeluruh. Apabila benar masih terdapat saksi-saksi yang belum diperiksa, maka hal tersebut perlu menjadi perhatian agar proses penegakan hukum berjalan secara profesional, transparan, dan memberikan kepastian
