Tim kemudian langsung melakukan pemadaman serta pendinginan menggunakan sarana dan prasarana milik perusahaan, di antaranya mesin semprot Robin dan truk pemadam kebakaran, dengan dukungan security perusahaan, tim siaga api serta masyarakat sekitar.<br><br>Luas areal yang terbakar diperkirakan mencapai kurang lebih 10 hektare. Sumber air yang dimanfaatkan dalam proses pemadaman berasal dari parit perusahaan dan sumber air di sekitar PKS perusahaan. Hingga kegiatan berlangsung, tim pemadam masih berada di lokasi untuk melakukan penyekatan dan pendinginan di sekeliling areal yang terbakar guna memastikan tidak terdapat titik api yang kembali menyala.<br><br>Kapolres Ketapang AKBP Muhammad Harris, S.H., S.I.K., M.I.K., CPHR., menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan groundcheck dan pemadaman merupakan langkah cepat dalam menindaklanjuti setiap informasi titik panas yang terpantau. &#8220;Kami terus mengingatkan seluruh masyarakat agar tidak melakukan pembakaran lahan, sekecil apa pun api yang ditimbulkan dapat berpotensi meluas dan menimbulkan dampak bagi lingkungan serta masyarakat,&#8221; ujar Kapolres.<br><br>Kapolres juga mengapresiasi sinergi antara kepolisian, pihak perusahaan dan masyarakat dalam penanganan Karhutla. Menurutnya, kolaborasi seluruh pihak sangat diperlukan, khususnya dalam melakukan deteksi dini, pemadaman, penyekatan dan pendinginan sehingga api tidak meluas ke wilayah lainnya. <br><br>Polres Ketapang akan terus meningkatkan patroli, monitoring hotspot dan groundcheck di wilayah rawan Karhutla. Masyarakat juga diimbau untuk segera melaporkan apabila menemukan titik api atau kepulan asap agar dapat ditindaklanjuti dengan cepat.
